Acetic acid is one of the most important organic acids that is mainly used in producing vinyl acetate, cellulose acetate fiber, acetic anhydride, acetic ester and acetate. It also functions as solvent and raw material of pesticide, medicine, dyestuff, and other industries. Moreover, acetic acid is also widely used in synthetic fiber, coating, medicine, pesticide, food additive, dyestuff, and other industries.

泄漏处理：切断火源，穿戴好防护眼镜、防毒面具和耐酸工作服，用大量水冲洗溢漏物，使之流入航道，被很快稀释，从而减少对人体的危害。

急救方法

皮肤接触：皮肤接触先用水冲洗，再用肥皂彻底洗涤。

眼睛接触：眼睛受刺激用水冲洗，再用干布拭擦，严重的须送医院诊治。

吸入：若吸入蒸气得使患者脱离污染区，安置休息并保暖。

食 入：误服立即漱口，给予催吐剂催吐，急送医院诊治。

防护措施

呼吸系统防护：空气中深度浓度超标时，应佩戴防毒面具。

眼睛防护：戴化学安全防护眼镜。

手防护：戴橡皮手套。

其它：工作后，淋浴更衣，不要将工作服带入生活区。

储运注意

储运注意事项：注意货物温度保持在20－35℃，即货物温度要大于其凝固点16.7℃防止冻结。装卸货完毕时要尽量排尽管系中的残液。
