    Dichloroethane is colorless or light yellow transparent liquid. It is mainly used as intermediate in the production of vinyl chloride or as solvent. It is colorless liquid with chloroform-like odor at normal temperature.

     

    1.Dichloroethane is mainly used as raw material of vinyl chloride, ethylene glycol, oxalic acid, ethylenediamine, lead tetraethyl, polyethylene polyamine, and diphenyl diketone; solvnet of grease, resin and rubber.

    2. In the analysis of boron, production of cellulose acetate, and as extractant of grease and tabacco.

    3. As analytical reagent, solvent, and standard matter for chromatographic analysis.

    4. As detergent, extractant, pesticide and oiling agent of metal.

    5. As solvent of wax, fat and rubber.

     

    Ordinary wooden box outside the ampoule bottle; threaded glass bottles, lid pressure bottles, plastic bottles or metal drus with ordinary wooden case outside.

    Dichloroethane vapor can generate explosive misture in the air. It is explosive in contact with high heat, open fire, and strong oxidants.

    Combustion (decomposition) products: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen chloride, and phosgene.

    Stability: stable

    Inhibitors: strong oxidants, acids, and alkalis.

    Hazardous polymerization: can not occur
