Toluene is colorless volatile liquid with special aromatic odor.Soluble in ethyl alochol, diethyl ether, acetone, chloroform, carbon disulfide, and glacial acetic acid, slightly soluble in water. Relative density is 0.866. Freezing point is -95℃. Boiling point is 110.6℃. Refractive index is 1.4967. Flash point (closed cup) 4.4℃. Explosion limit is 1.2%~7.0% (volume).

Toluene is widely used as a solvent and additive of high octane gasoline, an important raw material of organic chemical. Toluene intermediates are widely used in producing dyestuff; pharmaceutical; pesticide; explosive; auxiliary; spice and other fine chemicals.

Storage: keep in cool and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Warehouse temperature should not exceed 30 ℃.Keep the container sealed. Separate from oxidants. Adopts explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities.
